Why Use A Personal Photo Editor vs. AI Photo Editors
*Disclaimer - So much could go into this answer! I have tried several AI editors and still regularly use two of them, so don’t assume this is an anti-AI post at all. This also isn’t a tech-junkie post… maybe another day (I do love that!). This post addresses two main components true to the modern-day photographer’s experience: First, photographers don’t seem to have enough time in their days to get everything done (a universal truth?). Second, overall consistency and the human eye for detail and emotional pull are still missing from the AI approach to photo editing . With these two main considerations in mind, I’ve compiled a list demonstrating how a human, personal photo editor exceeds the AI experience while alleviating the photographer’s workload.
Why Use A Personal Photo Editor vs. AI Photo Editors
So you've realized you'd like some help editing your photos and improving your workflow. You’ve considered just using one of the AI programs, you’ve also considered just working through your images yourself, but you don’t feel completely satisfied with either option. What should you do?! Well, you've come to the right place! Why? I’m here to share five reasons you can lighten your load and feel confident with me editing your images. Because with my help, you can get away from tedious editing and get back to doing more of what you'd rather be doing.
#1 - Personalized, Custom Photo Edits
I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Maybe you apply a preset, then a LUT, then masks, then do crops, then save in several ways. Maybe another photographer just wants their images color corrected and a small object removed from a few images. I wouldn’t just apply the same editing approach to both clients. My ultimate goal is to learn your editing process and do what makes you happy. That way, those edits look just like yours, which is just what we want! Your images, your way.
Not a photographer? No problem! I personalize your edits according to what you’re looking for! It’s as simple as that. Send me a message and we can chat about it.

#2 - Competitive Pricing
I base my pricing on what other editors and services offer and try to either match or come in lower than their prices in many cases. Previously a photographer myself, I firmly believe that you shouldn’t have to sacrifice profits just to outsource your edits.
Not a photographer? You’ll find that my edits won’t cost you “an arm and a leg” to get what you’re looking for! You receive high-quality edits at a low cost.

#3 - Familiar Dog, New Photo Editing Tricks
Even though I’ve been working in this field for quite some time now ( I won’t call myself old yet haha), I still make it a point to stay on top of the latest program updates. If you’re already using some of Adobe’s newest features and would like me to incorporate them into your process, let me know! Chances are good that I’m already using them, too, and it shouldn’t be any trouble.
4 - I use the AI! I don’t use the AI!
Generative fill/remove? Sure! Do it the
old-fashioned way with layers/masking? Also sure! Your preference reigns here, but don’t be surprised if we chat about the options, too. I think the biggest point here is that when using me as a private, personal photo editor, you can get the best of both worlds by getting the consistency of the AI apps alongside the human touch that catches things the AI misses. So, while I may (depending on the project) use one of the AI apps/programs to get an edit started, I always hand-finish each catalog of images to make sure that no details are missed, exposures are consistent, crops and angles are straight, and color remain consistent throughout. I never leave culling to AI, by the way! That one’s all on me.
I’m open to what you want. Let’s talk soon, I look forward to it.

#5 - I used to be a photographer… I get you!
I’ve spent my share of time behind the lens, working with clients, trying out the equipment, charging batteries, setting up a seamless and praying it wasn’t crinkled, packing and unpacking flashes, going over checklists, contacting brides, sending contracts, snuggling tiny, fresh babies… you name it! I understand. You ARE your business. I feel the same way about PhotoFox Editing Boutique.
The way you feel about the happiness of your clients… that’s the same way I feel about your satisfaction with the edits I give you. I’ll pay attention to the details behind the computer all day for you so that you can have some extra time to breathe. Relax. Spend time with your family/friends. Take a day off. Fill in the blank… just be.

We’re probably somewhat similar…
My husband took this one of me on vacation. The red bag is holding my camera/lens. I have a hard time vacationing without it! Half the time, I don’t even wait until I get home to pop my images into Lightroom. Do you?! Although I don’t capture many human clients these days other than my own family members, I do take a lot of street and nature/landscape images, which you can find scattered throughout this site.
SO…
Let’s do this!
